Better find a way to slip some more pulses in the rotation.
    --------

A new report co-authored by the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) calls on farmers to globally reduce emissions by 6% while also increasing yield by 28% to meet food supply demand.

Our farms objective is always to do more with less… tapping into earth cycles that build soil structure, use the natural nitrogen in the air to feed the plants we grow. This often is somewhat more expensive and possibly produces less total yield… yet our family farm is here for building a strong future for our next generations… and this means soil and environmental betterment when ever possible.

This is common sense… for those of us who tend the special gardens we call our family farms!

        Blessings and Salutations!

I have the same objective to do more with less, but I'm not a scientist and I don't intend to become one. What and can to well is use the science other have developed and combine it with land and equipment to plant a crop where I can determine a cost of production and timely sales resulting in a profit.
What is lacking is reliable studies that show how to grow good productive crops to make a profit let alone meeting increased production targets.
Let me know how to do it, I'm all ears!

I guess the farmer is the easy mark because there are many ways of reducing pollutants before farmers are attacked.
How about the equine industry, 60,000,000 horses worldwide, 40,000 golf courses world wide at approximately 175 acres per course for 6.8million acres all requiring fertilizer, 32,000,000 acres of irrigated lawn (just in the US alone), three times the corn land...how about we start there. I could go on but you get the picture.

Truly Ironic and hypocritical to go after farmers first...

Take a look at North America at night from satellites or Space station.... endless energy being wasted on lighting... at what cost???? the carbon footprint is massive...
